A movement of wholeness in a fragmented world. We are Disciples of Christ. As part of one body of Christ, we welcome all to the Lord's Table as God has welcomed us. This is the Identity Statement for The Christian Church, Disciples of Christ. The movement began in the 1800's and continues to be
influenced by its founding ideals of our unity in Christ with our openness in diversity in practice and belief.

The church is identified with the Protestant "Mainstream" and is widely involved in social and other concerns. Disciples have vigorously supported world and national programs of education, agriculture assistance, racial reconciliation, care of the developmentally disabled, and aid to victims of war and calamity.

The Ashland First Christian Church has celebrated it's 175th Anniversary and has been involved in this community in many of these ways.
